Terms of Use

1. Platform Role

ArtfulIntent provides a marketplace connecting artists and collectors. We facilitate listings, bidding, and checkout flows, but we do not provide legal, tax, or investment advice.

The sale itself is between the buyer and the artist. ArtfulIntent is not the seller of the work and does not take title to it.

ArtfulIntent is not a bank, money transmitter, or escrow agent. Payments are processed and held by our third-party payment processor under their terms; ArtfulIntent does not take custody of funds. We determine when funds are released according to the process described in these terms, and that determination governs the payment only — it is not an arbitration of the parties' underlying rights.

2. Accounts

• At this time, ArtfulIntent services are limited to users and customers located in the United States.
• You are responsible for account accuracy and security.
• You must provide truthful registration and profile information.
• You are responsible for activity performed under your account.

3. Listings, Bids, and Purchases

• Artists are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings.
• Bids and purchases may create binding transaction obligations.
• Platform fees and membership-tier pricing may apply as displayed at checkout.
• Sellers arrange shipping and choose their own carrier, and are responsible for packaging the work adequately. Every shipment must be tracked; work valued over $1,000 must be insured for its full value. An untracked shipment does not release payment.
• Tracking starts the buyer's inspection window. Payment is released to the seller seven days after delivery is confirmed, unless a claim is opened in that window.

4. Prohibited Conduct

• No fraud, abuse, harassment, or deceptive marketplace conduct.
• No infringement of intellectual property rights.
• No attempts to disrupt platform security or operations.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Users retain rights to their content. By posting content, you grant ArtfulIntent a limited license to display and process that content for operating the marketplace.

6. Disclaimers and Liability Limits

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArtfulIntent disclaims warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential damages.

7. Changes and Termination

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
